The background of this painting consists of combinations of colors that I find are “ugly” and the reason behind that is to portray how the world is ugly. The world is ugly because there is sin in the world, and we, as humans, are imperfect. It is our job as Christians to be a light in the world, to pour love out into the world, to be something beautiful (Matthew 5:14-16). I portrayed that with the beautiful blue flowers.
